Still Here

Yes I know we haven't blog. But I have been so busy lately. The past 3 weeks have been crazy for us. I had my cousin bachlorette party one weekend the next her bridal shower and then last weekend thunder. It seemed that we only had one week to plan for each event. We were so jammed pack. But enough with the excuses. Jackson is doing great we discovered today that he is getting his molars in right now. It's been rough the past few days tring to figure out what was going on, he wasn't eating or sleeping much, some days he would have a minor fever and had little red bumps around his mouth. All these were signs of teething but he never did this with the first 4. He doing much better after we figured out what it was. It's rough trying figure this stuff out. Jackson is still not crawling but is really trying to walk. I really don't know when he is going to do either. At his 9 month check up he weighed 21 lbs and 28 1/2 inches long. He's a big boy. He has learned 2 more words dog & doggie and dirty. He doesn't say dirty to often though. He loves animals last week we took him to my grandpa's farm to see the pigs and cow. And he loved every minute of it. He would actually grab the hay and feed it to the cows. Well I just thought I would update you all on whats been going on.

4 Month Check Up

So this morning I took Jackson to his 4 month check up. Daddy had to miss out on another round of shots because he worked until 6am. But Jackson did great he only cried when she stuck him and stopped when I picked him up.

Our little boy weighed in at:

13 pounds 5 oz (35 percentile)

and 26 inches long (95 percentile)

So on average since he's been born he has gained 1 lb a month and grew an inch a month. Dr. F said that he will be tall and skinny. Basketball player??

Every check up he has had has been 50th percentile in weight and 95-100th percentile in height. He is staying pretty steady. He has been doing great. His new thing is that he likes paper. He loves to smack it and grab it. It's crazy what they find fun. They find the simple pleasures out of life. But on the other hand we find it just as entertaining watching them play with simple things. Tomorrow we are going Trick or Treating around some families houses, to show off our little stinker. Hopefully my new camera (anniversary present from my wonderful husband!) will come in tomorrow so I can take some great shots of his first Halloween.

2 Month Check Up

"My Little John Deere"

So my poor baby boy had his 2 month check up and of course he had to have his 3 shots. He screamed for a little bit and is still fussy when his tylenol wears off every 5 hours but other than that he is ok.
He now weighes in at 11 lbs. and is 23 1/2 inches long. So still in the 50% in weight and 90% in height.
He's getting so big we can't believe it. He's smiling and laughing so much now. He smiles at everyone he sees. He is a very happy baby. Going back to work was ok considering I'm only working 5 hrs a day and Tuesday he came to work with me thanks to Vicky ;) cause Matt had to go into work early. Oh and as things have been going good again after the year we've had, Matt dropped off Jackson at work and on his way in a lady slammed into the back of him so between me and Matt since last August we've had 3 wrecks.

I Don't Believe It!

We can't believe that our baby boy is one month today! It seems that in the blink of an eye things change or go by so fast. He is doing so well. We went to the doctor yesterday and he weighed in at 9 pounds and 1.5 ounces and measured at 23 inches long. He's in the 50 percentile in his weight and 100 percentile for height. The doctor said he was completely healthy and is doing great. We can tell he is starting to notice more of his surroundings now. He can hold his head up pretty good and when we put him on his belly he almost does this swim thing were he pulls his head and arms up and kicks his legs in the air. He still doesn't really like bathes much but hopefully he'll get over that soon.

We are both just so happy to be parents of a wonderful baby boy!

Our Weekend

So we kinda had a crazy week and weekend. Thursday we went to the doctor and everything is great. He went down to 7 pounds and 12 oz. Crazy because me and Matt think he has grown so much. Then we went by Mama's work, then we went to my work and Matt's work, and back out to my Grandma McCormick's. Big Day for Little Man. Everyone loved him. I don't think anyone got any work done. I know nobody at my work did but do they ever ;) Just kidding girls! Friday,Saturday & Sunday we spent most of it out at my Grandma's. She isn't doing well at all and it could be any day now. It's very hard watching her like this. I'm just really glad she got to see & hold Jackson. But all the McCormick's have been together, and fighting over who gets Jackson. But the hardest one to fight is Papa & Mama. Sunday Grandma (Matt's mom) not for sure what she wants to be called yet, maybe Granny or Nanny, came over for her birthday. We, ok Matt, made her a yummy cake. Didn't eat to much still trying to watch my weight. Speaking of lost 23lbs. Hooray!! Well here are some cute pictures.
