Jackson's First Halloween

Jackson had a blast for his first Halloween. But was tired shortly after it began. We first stopped by Mama & Papa's , which we do every night since mom broke her leg. He tried to get a short nap while mommy messed with her new camera.

We went to Hank & Lana's where he helped pass out candy and got rubber ducks for the tub and his first sucker. He loved it!!

Then we stopped by Shawne's house for a visit by then he was really tired.

Then we visited Grandma Carrie, Kayla, & Mikal. Then he was really really tired. Was there long enough to take some scary pictures.

But we had fun that night. I can't wait till next year when he can understand it better. But it was fun cause' Mommy & Daddy got all the candy!!

4 Month Check Up

So this morning I took Jackson to his 4 month check up. Daddy had to miss out on another round of shots because he worked until 6am. But Jackson did great he only cried when she stuck him and stopped when I picked him up.

Our little boy weighed in at:

13 pounds 5 oz (35 percentile)

and 26 inches long (95 percentile)

So on average since he's been born he has gained 1 lb a month and grew an inch a month. Dr. F said that he will be tall and skinny. Basketball player??

Every check up he has had has been 50th percentile in weight and 95-100th percentile in height. He is staying pretty steady. He has been doing great. His new thing is that he likes paper. He loves to smack it and grab it. It's crazy what they find fun. They find the simple pleasures out of life. But on the other hand we find it just as entertaining watching them play with simple things. Tomorrow we are going Trick or Treating around some families houses, to show off our little stinker. Hopefully my new camera (anniversary present from my wonderful husband!) will come in tomorrow so I can take some great shots of his first Halloween.

Our Happenings

So we've had a lot going on in resent weeks. But still no excuse to update. Jackson is getting so big. I don't believe how quick he is growing. He now tries to sit up by himself. He pulls himself up on anything he can grab. He tries to get out of his car seat all the time. He hasn't rolled over yet, but boy does he move around a lot. He is staying awake a lot more. And he is looking more and more like Matt everyday. He giggles a whole lot especially when daddy laughs at him. This past weekend we went to Harvest everyday Jackson had a blast he got so much attention. Saturday we entered him into the costume contest and got 3rd Place! My little stinker.

Last Tuesday we went to Huber's for Ashlyn's 5th Birthday. I got a good chance to take some fall pictures with his little man hat. I love this hat on him. Everyone comes up to him and ask me where I got it at. I think he looks adorable. Right after this shot he slid down the pumpkin on to the ground. It scared him a little until Mommy picked him up.





2 weekends ago we had my cousin Kasey's Birthday party at our house. We all had a blast and Jackson loved getting passed around.

Next weekend Jackson will be 4 months. I don't believe it. My cousin is getting married this Saturday so we will be spending most of the week up in Cincinnati. I'm sure I will have plenty of pictures next weekend.

Our Little Stinker

Ok so I know it's a little early but not by too much. Being a first time mom you get so excited about the small things. But since day one I said, "He's so stinkin' cute", "Your Mommy's little stinker" So I found a Skunk costume for Halloween, and now he is so stinkin' adorable. Ok so I got a mailer and saw this cute little costume and me and Matt agreed that this would be his first costume. So here it is.

You know it comes to the point when you realize that Oh My, I said I would never do this to my child and here I am doing it anyways.
Oh Well Welcome to Motherhood!!!!
