Old Habits Die Hard

So we've been trying to break Jackson of using the pacifer. But once he sees it he feels he needs it. We've tried to only give it to him at night but sometimes he wakes up with it. But the other morning he woke up and couldn't decide which pacifer went with his p.j's! Ya that 3 in his mouth (no comments about he gets his big mouth from his mother.)

Halloween

Jackson was a golfer this year and a cute one at that. We entered him into the costume contest again at Harvest Homecoming and he won 1st place and got a trophey. He had so much fun I turned his wagon into a golf cart and he pulled it around everywhere. We dressed him up every weekend. We took him to the zoo and to our camping trip up to Lake Rudolph in Santa Clause, In. He had so much fun he really got used to going up to people and getting candy. I think he favorite was suckers and M&M's.

Ya that's Matt in his costume to. He too won 1st place at the contest at work.

OK I'M HORRIBLE

I know you all are asking where have I been but most of you all see me at church. I really have no excuse. They only one thing I can't stand about blogging is not having any pictures to post but the past few weeks I've tried to post but I can't get my stupid camera to load pictures. But I will try to update you. Jackson is finally walking he started walking on July 31st and finally figured out how to pick himself up yesterday instead of crawling to the nearst wall to pull himself up on after he falls. As most of you already heard he got his first haircut about a month ago and she cut it way to short in the back. I cried but he didn't even move once. He has 13 teeth now yes I said 13. He has been none stop since 4 months old. He talks up a storm and never slows down. He is growing like a weed and everyone compares him to the gerber baby. I'm trying to see if there is anything I'm missing besides pictures but it's been so long. I really wish I could post some of his cute pictures of him at Huber's last weekend the child is so loving towards animals he gets right up to them doesn't even think twice about. I will try to post more and with pictures will see how well I'll do !!

My First Mother's Day

Sunday was my first offical Mother's Day. Last year was a practice run. It was great we went to church then to my parents where my mother's side was out there. Jackson got to play with his cousin Isabel who is 8 months older and only weighs 5lbs more than Jackson. He's such a chunker. Matt is (meaning still) building my mother's day present along with my dad's help. It's almost done. It's a cute window bench with cubbies for Jackson toys. Cannot wait to get it because I'm running out of room. Then we went and visit my mother in law and nephew for awhile. It was such a busy day but a great memoriable Mother's Day. It was weird for me because I celebrated this day for years and now it's a day for me.I will try to post pictures of Jackson dedication and others I have been really busy this week my cousin is getting married on Saturday and I'm the Maid of Honor/Wedding Planner. If I didn't dye my hair blonde I sure you would see gray!!

We have a crawler

I had to post this because we are so excited Jackson finally crawled Monday! And it's the cutest crawl too. His one knee is dragging as the other foot it walking along. I don't care how he does it he's just finally doing it. I was afraid he was going to walk before he crawled. And of course he is getting into everything he has had his eye on for awhile. I will have to post pictures and video of it. It's way cute.

Had to try this too!

The Hardest Thing

So most of you all know that our dogs are our children too. We have 3 of them Lady(our first born as we call her) Abby, and Molly. Matt had gotten Lady for me when we first started dating. She was the best dog ever. I don't even think she knew she was dog. She never left our side. She loved playing basketball out back. She had her own personality. And I admit it she was treated better than the other two. A year ago last Feb. the day after Matt's dad past away we found a knot underneath her belly, We took her to the vet for an ultrasound and surgery to see what it was. It was a tumor the size of a two softballs. The vet said this kind of tumor in dogs only lived 42 weeks after being removed. Lady's couldn't be removed. It was already so big and she wasn't even showing signs of being sick. We just try to give her the best quality of life. Days went by and she was doing great still going outside playing and doing her own thing. Months went by and still fine. I was just praying that she would make it until Jackson was born. I didn't think I could take another big loss. I should say that if it wasn't for Matt's dad who worked with the people we got Lady from we would have never got her. She was doing great but the tumor just kept getting bigger. The past winter she got so skinny and her belly was so big. She looked like and starving pregnant dog. After I started staying at home and spending more time at my parents I started taking her with me everyday. It got to the point to where she couldn't get into the car everyday so I started leaving her there. She didn't mind though she loved it at mom and dad's she got spoiled even more there than at our house. It was there grandchild. She used to get so excited when we asked her about going to gma's and gpa's, she didn't know if we were going to Matt's parents so she could get a box of cookies (yes cookies) or my parents to get a cooked meal!! Yes I know it sounds stupid but she really was like a child. Me and Matt had her for 7 years. She lived what I think was a great life. We had to put her to sleep Friday. She out lived what the studies said and what was the life expectancy of a dog that had it removed. She wasn't able to get up and move anymore and she seemed unhappy. It was getting really tough seeing and caring for her. It was the hardest and most painful thing we ever had to do. I told Matt it was harder than labor. We miss her so much already. We love you Lady and we will never be able to find another dog like you!

10 Months

I don't believe how fast this year has gone by. It's just like you were born and we blinked and now your 2 months shy from being 1. You are getting so big. You are so much fun to be around. You have learned a lot within the past few months. You words are moma dada, dog, doggie, bye-bye, dirty. You are catching on with Where's your belly. You have touched it a few times now since this past week. You tilt your head when someone is talking to you like Abby (our dog) does it is so cute. You wave bye-bye and come here. You love going to the park with your cousin Caleb and play on the swing and in the hollow tunnels so you bang on the inside. You like the slide too but not as much.

Friday was your first time mowing the grass with your Papa. You were not happy with me when we had to go.

You love all kinds of animals. You really liked feeding all the animals on you great grandpa's farm. Nothing really seems to bother you. Even when all the cows moo when we bent down to feed them.

These have been the good times when you really interact with everything that is going on. Mommy's so excited to be spending all this time with you now, it's really a blessing on how everything works out. We love you so much
xoxo Mommy and Daddy

Still Here

Yes I know we haven't blog. But I have been so busy lately. The past 3 weeks have been crazy for us. I had my cousin bachlorette party one weekend the next her bridal shower and then last weekend thunder. It seemed that we only had one week to plan for each event. We were so jammed pack. But enough with the excuses. Jackson is doing great we discovered today that he is getting his molars in right now. It's been rough the past few days tring to figure out what was going on, he wasn't eating or sleeping much, some days he would have a minor fever and had little red bumps around his mouth. All these were signs of teething but he never did this with the first 4. He doing much better after we figured out what it was. It's rough trying figure this stuff out. Jackson is still not crawling but is really trying to walk. I really don't know when he is going to do either. At his 9 month check up he weighed 21 lbs and 28 1/2 inches long. He's a big boy. He has learned 2 more words dog & doggie and dirty. He doesn't say dirty to often though. He loves animals last week we took him to my grandpa's farm to see the pigs and cow. And he loved every minute of it. He would actually grab the hay and feed it to the cows. Well I just thought I would update you all on whats been going on.

First Easter

Let me start off by saying Holidays are so much more fun when you have children!! Jackson got so much for Easter it was like Christmas again. We woke up and went to church. He looked so cute in his little suit. Then we went home and let him open what the Easter Bunny brought him he loved everything. We got him his first soft baseball bat and ball, candy bunny, an animal for his animal train, and chicken that does the chicken dance, bath toys, and a shirt that says Perfect Gentleman in training.

Then we went out to my aunt and uncle's. Where he didn't do much but eat and play in a empty diaper box, (spend all that money and play in something we had). Then out to my parents where he got stuffed peeps and metal bucket with plastic eggs and candy!!! Thanks mom and dad. But I think mommy and daddy will eat that.

Ahh Yeah that's his!

Then off to Grandma Carrie's. For her mac and cheese and ham. yum!! By the end of the day he was so tired and fussy he slept from 9:00pm till 9:45am. Thank you!! Jackson has still not crawled but today he did take 2 steps while holding my hands he used to just stand there. Everyday he stand by himself longer and longer. He is holding onto furniture. Jackson is doing really great, he is eating all table foods not much of the baby food anymore. I can't wait to see how much his weight is now, he goes to the doctor next week. Length wise he goes from the top of my head to my waist. Crazy. I'll try to keep you updated!!

These was his Easter and 9mths pictures we had taken.

I Know I Know

I know that I haven't blog lately. We have been really really busy. We meaning I decided I didn't like the look of our kitchen floor so we went to Home Depot and bought some new flooring. Matt and Dad worked non-stop all week to get it done because I was hosting my cousin's bachlorette party Friday which we reschuled because of the snow. Boo! But it looks a thousand times better. The old floor was white but it started turning colors, plus with 3 dogs white isn't a good color. We did get everyone together to go sledding, and how much fun was that. We went Friday night and Sat. afternoon it was so much fun. In totally about 14 people went. We had so much fun. Jackson is getting so big. He's still not crawling but everytime he stands up he tries to adventure out to walking. Jackson is doing this really cute thing when I go to tickle him he reaches back and tries to tickle me. I really need to get video of it. He is going tommorrow to get his Easter pictures done. So I will get those posted.

This is me trying to catch a ride with Matt on the way up. It was hard climbing that flood wall.
I am about to hit a ramp the guys built I went down it 4 times. The first 3 I clipped the edge. 4th time I went airborne and flipped backwards on my right side. Yes, I'm sore!!

The Heintzman's Latest

So not much has been going on ok maybe it has and there is no excuse for me not to blog. So Matt started his job on Monday and so far so good. He seems to be enjoy it so far. I started my new job Monday. Staying home so far so good on that too. It's been kinda weird not going to an actual job, but everything has really been the same since I'm doing everything I did before except I'm not working a 40 hr week on top of that. Grandma has really been enjoy the extra time with Jackson and so am I, and now I'm also watching my 6 year old cousin Caleb. I have been taking and picking him up from school everyday. I tell you what this kid is a HAM!! He is so hyper but adorable. I will not have 2 kids with this big of an age difference between Jackson and Caleb. Jackson is doing more new stuff everyday. He has really started lifting his chest up like he was going to start crawling and today he actualy lifted his butt up too (for about 2 seconds). This child is actually starting to like laying on his belly. He started the other day saying daddy instead of dada. And yesterday he said mommy instead of mama. I am loving every minute of it. Well hopefully I'll have so more pictures soon.

The Latest

Everything has been going good. Jackson is doing new stuff everyday. He started this whole screaming laugh thing a couple of days ago don't know where that came from, and last night he started making his smouch face when all of the suddon he started blowing spit everywhere. He loves doing that now.

He just made the transfer to 3-6 month jeans, yes I said 3-6. This child's bottom half is never going to catch up to the top half.

He really loves to suck on his toes now. He has become a lot more flexible now.

He has a nice goose egg on the side of his head today. He was sitting up on the changing table when he starting leaning over to the right before I could catch him he hit his head on the side of the table. He cried for awhile and so did mommy. It broke my heart. I couldn't believe it. I felt so horrible for awhile even though he was fine and laughing 5 mins after it happened. He's such a trooper. I have been sick all week and still feeling really bad. Tuesday I had some kinda flu I guess and Thursday I came up with a cold. Today I felt the worse. Matt did find him another job making a little less than before and it is first shift. Before he was working 2nd shift and I would go into work for a little bit before he had to be at work at 3:00. So we decided it would be best for me to stay at home with Jackson and help my mom take care of my Grandma. It was a decision that we had to make because I couldn't bring myself to put him in a daycare and I know that my mom really needs my help with my grandma. I have been helping her at night since she broke her leg, but it is getting to the point where someone needs to be with her during the day. I am excited to be able to stay home with Jackson now. Friday is my last day at work which is sad because I know the girls will miss me ;) and I will miss being around them too, because they are all family to me. But I will bring Jackson down to visit because he loves it there, I don't know why, just kidding :)

The Circus

Tuesday night me and Jackson were sitting on the couch when, "Come to Circus the Greatest Show in Town..." came on and he stopped everything he was doing and just looked at the t.v. with his mouth wide open until it went off. I told Matt we have to take him. He said mom called and asked if we wanted to take him and I told her he's too young. I said call her back we are taking this child to the circus so we went and we had so much fun not to mention it was my first time going as well. We went with Grandma, Kayla and Mikal. Jackson was great the entire time he just sat there and watched the whole thing. The only thing he didn't care for was the clown that came up to him we were sitting in the front row so it was perfect for him to see everything up close. Here are some pictures we took that night.

The elephants were my favorite part.

I don't know if you can tell or not but there are 7 dirtbikes in the ball doing tricks

The Cute Things

Ok so it seems that Jackson is hitting everything at once now. I have been meaning to update everything that he is doing. So last Wednesday we started to practice standing him up. The next day he had already caught onto it and started standing on his own while holding my hands. He has been saying bye-bye-bye, dadada, mamama but we wasn't for sure if he knew what he was saying. But 3 days ago he started asking for dada and just today he has been asking for mama. And oh it made my heart melt.Jackson waves in the cutest way, he puts his hand in a fist and moves it back and forth like he is starting a motorcycle. It's the cutest. We have been loving these past few weeks and so fun watching him learn new things.

7 Months

Oh my. Is it really been 7 months. You have grown so fast. You have been really blooming this past month. A couple of weeks ago you really started sitting up on your own. You have been talking more and more hopefully we can announce your first word soon. I think it will be bye-bye or Dada (or maybe mama, please!!)

You love almost all baby food and whatever we're eating. Not too much of the green beans and strawberries. You just started drinking out of a sippy cup but still get kinda mixed up when going back to the bottle.
Your two bottom teeth are coming in very well.
You love to have naked time after your bath so you can stretch out and you just started sucking on you toes.
You are so cute when you smile. Your smile will stretch for miles. We love you so much and can't wait to see what you've become in the next months
