Alone?

Ok so maybe tonight will be the night that we actually let my parents watch him while we go to the movies. I have only left him with Matt for a total of 40 mins since he's been born. But I know that Papa and Mama want to watch him and it might be nice to get out without him :( But it will only be 2 hours. We'll see though, I won't believe it until I actually drive away without him and make it through the whole movie. So I probably won't enjoy the movie thinking of what my parents are doing with him and if he is being good. I'll keep you posted if I actually go through with this and how I did. A Weekend of First

Saturday he got to go to his first birthday party. It was great seeing all the girls from high school and their little ones. I just don't believe how fast they all grew up. Poor Alexander being the only boy, besides Jackson, at the birthday party. Sunday was his first visit to church. I know now how hard it is to get to chruch on time with a newborn, but we made it and he did really good through the whole service. Then we took are first trip to the Zoo. We had a blast. We went with my cousin and some friends of ours and their 5 month old. Jackson did great till the end. I don't think he really got to appreciate the love for the animals yet, but it was still fun ;) But all in all it was a great weekend of first!

I Don't Believe It!

We can't believe that our baby boy is one month today! It seems that in the blink of an eye things change or go by so fast. He is doing so well. We went to the doctor yesterday and he weighed in at 9 pounds and 1.5 ounces and measured at 23 inches long. He's in the 50 percentile in his weight and 100 percentile for height. The doctor said he was completely healthy and is doing great. We can tell he is starting to notice more of his surroundings now. He can hold his head up pretty good and when we put him on his belly he almost does this swim thing were he pulls his head and arms up and kicks his legs in the air. He still doesn't really like bathes much but hopefully he'll get over that soon.

We are both just so happy to be parents of a wonderful baby boy!

My Buddy

So Saturday we went out with our group for the first time since Jackson's born. We went to Uno's, great food, horrible service. Anyways everyone came over including Jackson's buddy Nolan. Me and Hollie couldn't pass up photo opportunity so we snapped away. I just had to share them they were so cute. We couldn't believe the size difference since Nolan is only a month and 2 days older than Jackson. I just hope he doesn't grow up as fast as Nolan did. We go to his one month appt. on Thurs. We'll let you know how it went.

Ok so last night I was up cleaning until 4 am and at 3am I came to my computer for a break and posted these pictures of him. This morning I get up and check it and it's not there? I swear I put these on last night. Oh well I hope you enjoy them. Everything is going great. He is doing great and me and Matt don't believe he is already going to be a month old next week. It's crazy!

My First Pictures

So we had a pretty long week, but everything is starting to calm down now. We were out at my Grandma's everyday all day until she passed away on July 4th. She will truly be missed. After figuring it all up, she had 12 children, 38 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. Crazy! She really taught us all what a family means. After being with the McCormick's all week. Me and Matt actually got to hold Jackson today. It seemed that all week all we got to do was change and feed him. Every time I turned around someone else had him or people were fighting over him. But he was great! I'm so excited that he actually turned out to be a great baby. He only cries when he's hungry or needs a change. Saturday we went and got his pictures taken. He stayed awake the whole time. I hope he is like that every time. While we was doing naked shots and me holding him pee shot straight across the studio. I just died laughing, at least it didn't get on me. Our Weekend

So we kinda had a crazy week and weekend. Thursday we went to the doctor and everything is great. He went down to 7 pounds and 12 oz. Crazy because me and Matt think he has grown so much. Then we went by Mama's work, then we went to my work and Matt's work, and back out to my Grandma McCormick's. Big Day for Little Man. Everyone loved him. I don't think anyone got any work done. I know nobody at my work did but do they ever ;) Just kidding girls! Friday,Saturday & Sunday we spent most of it out at my Grandma's. She isn't doing well at all and it could be any day now. It's very hard watching her like this. I'm just really glad she got to see & hold Jackson. But all the McCormick's have been together, and fighting over who gets Jackson. But the hardest one to fight is Papa & Mama. Sunday Grandma (Matt's mom) not for sure what she wants to be called yet, maybe Granny or Nanny, came over for her birthday. We, ok Matt, made her a yummy cake. Didn't eat to much still trying to watch my weight. Speaking of lost 23lbs. Hooray!! Well here are some cute pictures.
